Olive to launch first triple SIM phone very soon

Earlier, there were only traditional phones and mobile phones available with Dual SIM. But today the advancement in technology has resulted in the introduction of first triple SIM phones which are capable of performing good with 3 SIM. The first phone that will appear in India belongs to the company Olive. If we talk about the technical features, this first triple SIM phone is quite similar to all’Inq 3G.

It is known as V-Wiz GC800 and works over the GSM network. The gadget comprises of a Qwerty keyboard. It lacks touchscreen. Other attractive features include a Micro SD slot for up to 4 GB, 2 megapixel camera, integration with social networks and many more. You can even receive an European version of the terminal this is because such gadgets are sold in a large number in the European countries.
The V-Wiz GC800 will cost 90 Euros. In India, it will be available at around INR 6000. So the device will be approachable to most customers. However, the launch date and availability of the device in the Indian and European markets has not been confirmed yet. With this, all the leading handset manufacturers are expected to follow Olives and began selling phones provided with three SIM. The technology appears beneficial for the people who like to try offers and promotion of all mobile operators.

Microsoft to reveal its first Project Pink mobile phones

After a long time period, it has been indicated by Reuters and microSD card provider SanDisk that Microsoft will introduce the Project Pink formally tomorrow, April 12th.
Microsoft, who has only launched mobile phone software has now made an entry in the mobile phone device market. It purchased Danger, Inc., maker of the popular Sidekick device, back in the year 2008.
The two Project Pink phones are the Turtle and the Pure. Although, Reuters stated that the ‘Turtle’ and ‘Pure’ are actually code names. These gadgets will be renamed after their release.
As confirmed by multiple reports, Project Pink devices will be introduced on Verizon. Moreover, it has been confirmed by the FCC reports that these devices are designed by Sharp, a longtime partner of Danger, Inc.
As far as the Pure is concerned, it comprises of a tiled interface emphasizing on social networking. The interface lacks Windows Phone 7. It is suspected that Microsoft is addressing younger generation with Project Pink. Danger’s Sidekick mobile phone was very popular among young people. Its full keyboard and innovative flip screen was perfect for the purpose of messaging. Also it was very simple to use Sidekick OS than the other mobile operating systems like Windows Mobile and the Palm OS.

Although, the Sidekick was launched in the year 2002. At that time, smartphones were awful and costly as well. But today, there exists a large number of smartphones emphasizing on social networking features attracting the younger users.

O2 declared winner in latest broadband popularity poll

According to the results of a latest customer survey, O2 has emerged as the nation’s favourite broadband provider.
Over the previous six months, more than 100,000 consumers rated their broadband provider. O2 Broadband grabbed the topmost position with a satisfaction rating of 77% followed by BE Broadband owned by O2. It remained at 73%. The third place was occupied by Virgin Media with 68%.
Felix Geyr, head of home broadband at O2, stated: “I am delighted that our customers have rated O2 Home Broadband higher than any of our competitors. We believe that we have a great product and results like this prove our customers value the service and quality we provide.”
AOL Broadband remained at bottom of the list. It received a rating of only 56% .

UK Government forced to take a backseat on the Broadband Tax Bill.

The plans of UK government was quashed and it has to abandon its plan to introduce 50p a month tax on every telephone line in the country. This tax was to be used as a fund to invest in the UK broadband sector. The UK government was pushing for the bill hoping to raise £170 million a year from this disputed bill.

This Digital Economy Bill has been a controversial topic ever since its inception and a lot of amendments was made by the UK government before placing the bill in the Parliament. The broadband is becoming a hot topic of discussion in the political shim sham and it will surely become a vote winner or loser in the coming elections.

But as of now, the bill has been abandoned by the government, it will be really interesting to know that from where the UK government will arrange for the funding in this sector. Samsung and Dell netbooks added by Vodafone to mobile broadband deals

Two new netbooks have been added by Vodafone mobile broadband to its range of “free laptop” packages.
The Samsung N130 and the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 are launched to be used by the broadband users. One can avail these packages by paying £25 a month for a free laptop plus 1GB of data. They need to pay £30 a month for a laptop along with 3GB monthly download allowance on a contract of 24 months. The Samsung N130 supports a 10.1in screen. It is adorned with a 160GB hard drive and comprises of an integrated webcam. This device incorporates a latest Windows 7 operating system.
As far as the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is concerned, it has similar size and also supports a built-in webcam and a 160GB hard drive. It runs on Windows XP.
Both laptops are available at £250 and a typical 3GB mobile broadband package if purchased separately will set you back £15 per month.
